Can TRS repair all brands and types of motors, pumps, and alternators?
Yes, our team is made up of engineers with extensive experience across all brands of rotating machinery within various industries.
A thorough strip and assess process is conducted on all equipment prior to commencement of any repairs, with a cost analysis done for replacement vs repair, to ensure we can provide you with the best solution.
How long does a typical motor or pump repair take?
This is highly dependent on the type of repair that is required; however, we take all our work seriously and understand the importance of getting your machinery back up and running in a timely manner.
We recommend that all equipment go through a strip and assess process first, where the condition of the equipment is checked with the type of service/repair dictated. We will then advise you of the outcome with the estimated price and time to complete.
If work is urgent and needs to be prioritised for a faster turnaround, please advise our team up front, so we can do whatever it takes to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Does TRS offer emergency or same-day repair services?
Yes. For any emergency breakdowns/critical repair work, our team will act fast, ensuring work commences within a couple of hours from the first point of contact. Our team is available to work after hours to ensure your equipment is back up and running in the desired timeframe.
What is the common cause of motor failure?
The most common cause of failure is bearing failure due to either over- or under-greasing. Our sister company TR Industries offers motor maintenance training to sites’ mechanical/electrical teams, for WEG-specific maintenance, particularly outlining the lubrication requirements for WEG motors.
The team at TRS can also offer lubrication monitoring and management along with vibration analysis to prevent and predict any bearing failure before it’s too late.
Is it better to repair or replace a damaged motor or pump?
This is dependent on several different factors, including but not limited to equipment criticality, turnaround time, and technical specifications.
The team at TRS will ensure the best solution is provided to the customer and a thorough cost analysis for repair vs replace is conducted prior to any commencement of repair work.
